Natural Teak

Product Information:

Teak is a very dense and oily wood. The oil keeps the water from seeping into the wood. This means that teak furniture can be left in the weather elements and endure years of rain, wind, heat and cold. Our teak is sourced from plantations in Indonesia.

Every piece of furniture has its own character and structure. Small inlays can be used to fill up minor existing imperfections and give the product a naturally aged look.
Teakwood is a natural material and fine cracks in the legs and tops may appear due to changes in temperature and humidity and the constant change in moisture content in the wood. Small fissures may open in the end grain, known as checking, this is normal, especially in heavier components and it will not affect the serviceability of your furniture.

*1 year structural warranty on all teak items*

Care Instructions:

  • Oil your teak approximately every 6-12 months or as required, with orange oil as this will feed the wood and prevent it from drying out. If your furniture is exposed to the elements it will require more maintenance.
  • Purchase a sealer and apply it approximately 6-12 months or as required, to protect your teak from weather. You can purchase a sealer from Bunnings by Bondall for Teak.
  • If you prefer to let your teak grey naturally then don’t apply products as frequently.
  • Be aware that treatments may alter the colour and you should do a patch test before you apply.
  • If you purchase a cover for your table be aware that it may trap moisture and increase the chance of mildew growth.
  • Never use bleach, a brass brush, a pressure washer or steel wool on Teak.
  • Always protect your table against placing hot items directly onto the wood.
  • To prolong the life of your furniture we recommend storage in dry covered conditions when not in use.

Lavastone

Product Information:

Lavastone tops are engineered as a strong natural composite, mixing lava dust with resin to create concrete-look furniture pieces.

Lavastone does not chip, crack, or break easily because of the composite nature of the material. The legs are powder coated steel.

The Lavastone tops are resistant to UV and water but we recommend that they are placed under a covered alfresco area or covered when not in use.

As this is a composite material, there will be colour and finish variations with our Lavastone products.

Care Instructions:

  • For regular maintenance clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Never use acidic household products or bleach on your table as they will erode the sealer and may cause staining.
  • If any acidic liquid comes into contact with your lava stone table rinse it immediately with warm water e.g. carbonated drinks, juices, vinegar etc.
  • Always protect your table against placing hot items directly onto the wood.

Grey/White Wash Teak

Product Information:

Teak is a very dense and oily wood.  The oil keeps water from seeping into the wood. This means teak furniture can be left outside and endure years of rain, wind, heat, and cold. Our teak is sourced from plantations in Indonesia.

Like any timber, teak will show small movements in the elements of nature. This may result in the timber moving and cracks forming in the furniture piece. Every piece of natural teak furniture is one of a kind and will have different colour variations.

The White Wash finishing process has 3 main steps: 1. Apply water based sealer and sand, 2. Apply white wash base stain, 3. Clear water based coating is then applied.

*1 year structural warranty on all teak items*

Care Instructions:

  • It is important to not let dust/dirt accumulate on teak, so wipe occasionally with damp cloth/sponge.
  • You can also purchase a sealer and apply it every 6-12 months to protect your teak from weather. Bunnings sell a water based sealer we recommend (Cabot'ts 500ml Satin/Gloss Cabothane Water Based Polyurethane. NOTE: Teak must be free from dirt before sealing. The teak must be dry before you re-coat with sealer.
  • If you do nothing to your teak it will grey naturally.

Powder Coated Aluminium

Product Information:

Powder coated aluminium is a stylish and long-lasting material for outdoor furniture. It is lightweight and corrosion resistant. The Powder coating system is a polyester based coating that uses uniformly sized micro-beads of polyester, they are electrostatically charged to adhere to aluminium. The coating is thick like an epoxy coating, but because it is electrostatically charged and then baked onto the aluminium, it doesn’t flake or peel like paint or epoxy.

The dining chairs and sunlounges are covered with a textaline fabric and the cushions are covered using a fabric olefin which is UV, Water and Chlorine Resistant.

We offer a 2 year warranty, which covers any structural defect to the frame in normal conditions.

Care Instructions:
  • You can simply use water to clean the frame and textaline product, and only use household mild soapy water on tougher stains.
  • The olefin fabric cushions can be spot cleaned with a wet sponge, or a gentle machine wash for a
    seasonal clean.
  • Avoid scraping or rubbing the powdercoated furniture with anything abrasive as that could damage or remove the coating from the surface. Never use ammonia or bleach on powder-coated furniture.
